FLL to Miami port - whats the cheapest fastest transportation?

Last time we just got a rental car because we arrived the day before. This time we're arriving the morning of. We're on a budget somewhat, and will arrive at 10:05 a.m. What is the most affordable fastest way to get to the Carnival Triumph? A taxi, a shuttle, a towncar? Shuttles just seem to take so long - they have to fill the whole bus before you can leave and then you have to wait for them to unload the luggage......

What do you all recommend? I tried doing a search but couldnt find anything.

Well you're asking two questions - "the most affordable fastest way." Those are sort of opposites. :D

The fastest way would be a helicopter. The fastest practical way probably is a taxi, but that's not gonna be a cheap ride. From FLL to Miami's port is about 25 driving miles down I95 (unlike Fort Lauderdale's port, which is a stone's throw from the airport).

Any form of mass transportation, whether a shuttle, shared van, or whatever, is going to be cheaper, but of course it's going to take somewhat longer too.

Plus if it's a weekday, be prepared for the possibility of getting stuck in traffic.

On the other hand, as long as your flight is reasonably on time, you're certainly not going to miss your boat. Just relax and realize that, this time, you may not get to the boat quite as early as you'd like to. Enjoy your cruise!

Simple answer...Tri County Airport Express, $18 per person. ;)

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of the starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.
