I am probably going to get pie in my face on this one, but every cruise and every cruise line we have been on has had a meeting of "Friends of Bill W" on it at least once. Who is Bill W? :o I know A Bill W, but maybe not THE Bill W. Have we been on the same ship every time and I have missed him? I would be totally embarrased if I have not stopped to say hello. :eek:

I believe that Friends of Bill W is a call for members of AA to join up, meet other members, and keep up with meetings.

Instead of saying an alcoholic annonomous meeting, the meetings are the "Friends of Bill W". I believe he was the founder of AA. On some ships they have the Friends of ???? (can't rememeber who) and those are for gay and lesbians on board. AA meetings are daily but other is not.
