pwrchick Posted April 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2006 We will be goign to Labadee on our next cruise. I'm looking for info on the best acitvities there. We live near the beach, so we are not interested in just sitting on the beach. Thanks in advance!
daveky Posted April 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2006 We usually do the wave runners and/or the parasailing. Dave
superjerryw Posted April 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2006 There isn't much more to do there other than sit on the beach.
Choozin Croozin Posted April 24, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2006 THe kayak trip is fun, but can be tiring. You see a different part of the island and go into a different market area. It really is nice.
Cruzntime Posted April 24, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2006 I'll second the wave runners. The ship ties off in the cove and it's pretty cool being on the little wave runners zooming by the big ship! If you're looking for cheaper, try snorkeling and finding the sunken airplane. perkyblue Posted April 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2006 There's also a fun waterpark area.
dkbryan Posted April 24, 2006 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2006 My DW and I were in Labadee in May of 2003. All of the excursions are through RCCL which means that you will have to pay top dollar to take part. In 2003 in was $99 for the waverunners and $79 for parasailing. In May it was very hot--make sure you take your sun screen. There are 2 market areas--in one the merchants are very agressive while in the other it is more like a store. However, I did enjoy having lunch on shore (supplied by the ship). Also, my wife and I have a special heart for Haiti as we have both been there on mission trips. There is also a nice trail you can walk which will give you some great pictures of the ship sitting in the cove.
