brianroberts2526 Posted April 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2006 We booked a guarantee and a while ago founf our room number on the Carnival site, and now we have docs saying the same room number. Is there still a chance of an upgrade? I'm not complaining, I think it will be a great room, just wondering though.
sportsterjohn Posted April 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2006 possible. with a gty they can change your room up till the last second. However, it is unlikely though that it will change once you have your docs.
iowagirl411 Posted April 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2006 I have a guar. booked for the fiirst time on my upcoming cruise. The only thing I can figgure out is just to show up at the ship with your luggage and go to the room they give you! On these boards I've read every sort of case senario; ways to get an upgrade, ways to nix an upgrade, people who went from inside to suite, etc. All the info is very contradictory and confusing. I don't think that Carnival has a system and I don't think anything you do makes a difference. I read on here a zillion times that if you book a specific cabin that you will not get an upgrade. Well, on my last cruise I booked a specific cabin (being a little anal about location) and got upgraded 2 times after I had my docs. I ended up in a balcony. No rhyme or reason. It was a great surprise! I'm going to try really hard not to go nuts checking for a cabin # before I sail, but I know I will!
