Promenade Stateroom. How are they?

Just got off the Carnival Liberty and had a balcony Now want to try RCCL but Can't afford the more expensive balcony cabins. Just Wondering if anyone has stayed in a promenade stateroom inside cabin. How is it? Lots of Noise? View? THANKS

I've heard it is great. Booked one for my kids for our next cruise. There is another thread on this. Just use search on top and you can find it.

 

In general, the feedback goes like this: No noise, great views, not closed in.

We really liked them; we were on deck 7. It was not noisy, but I have heard if you are over a bar on deck 6 it can be. The drawback was not knowing what the weather was like!

We also had one on the Adventure- no problems at all. The rooms seem bigger than they are 'cus of the window. We heard the parades, but that was all the noise we heard. Word of warning though, people can see in the windows, so unless you are an exibitionist, beware!;)

We had a promenade room on the NOS that was located right next to the clock...the one drawback was we were right in the middle of the length of the promenade and there was no short way to an elevator or stairs. No noise except during the parade; rooms seem bigger because there is a small sofa in the window (we were on deck 8, I think, and the windows actually are like bay windows so you can more easily see up and down the promenade. As has already been mentioned, be sure to close the drapes if you don't want to be seen. Also, we had a connecting room and sound came through as if there was no door so you might not want to discuss your company business standing next to it!

My daughters had a PR room on our last cruise (AOS) on deck 8 overlooking the Cafe Promenade. Deck 7 would be better for parade viewing, as deck 8 is a little too high up. They enjoyed the more open feeling of this room, as opposed to an inside cabin, and did not experience any noise level different form their inside cabins in the past. I'm not sure about deck 6, since those cabins are directly above the Promenade venues.

The PR rooms are great and have more seating than a regular inside due to the window seat AND love seat.

 

As with any inside room, you can dress for the weather by turning the tv on the bridge cam.
