I'm sorry to say, they are not here yet. But I am excited to see what happens. I was checking into RCCL and they have two ships released. Adventure doing 7 night Southern and the Explorer doing 9 & 12 Night Eastern. This is something totally new. I hope to have something next week on X's Caribbean.

Hi Rick !

Let's hope next week is the week. It seems to be getting later and later each year. I am still hoping there will be at least a few new Caribbean itineraries.

I wish Celebrity/RCI would try to find a way to come out with these itineraries earlier, as they may be losing business to the competition. I know many here have said they booked elsewhere, as they could not wait any longer.

It could still be 2-3 weeks. It's always tough to wait.

Andy,

Hopefully come Monday we should have a ship or two. It will take probably about two weeks to get the whole thing.

I'm sorry to say, but nothing yet. RCCL's schedule is getting full. They have some nice cruises that will be running.

For you Texas residents, Galveston will be getting the Voyager of the Seas. Nice upgrade.

I'll keep you updated.

Hi Rick !

I wonder what the delay is, with the Caribbean schedules ???

Yes, RCI did show some creativity in their 2007/2008 schedules. I commend them. I am hoping Celebrity will do the same.

I have to say, I am shocked Galveston received a Voyager class ship. Perhaps RCI did that to compensate for the loss of Galaxy. I think she may do well for a season or 2, as Voyager is new there. I would think our West Coast friends may travel to Galveston to sail on her.

Well, I took a look and I have to say I wasn't impressed with the creativity of the itineraries; looked pretty much like same old, same old to me.

No bargins either, and most of the "better" cabins already tied up.

We have the Mercury Mexican Riviera booked for Jan, 2007, but after that it would appear that we will have problems finding a Celebrity Cruise that we want to do.

Unless, of course, something really interesting comes out of that pending May 11th Announcement.

Grumble, grumble, grumble....

Hi Rick !

That's an excellent itinerary for those who can do a repo cruise. That's what they should have done with Connie this Winter, instead of her sailing down here empty.

I will be tempted to book that myself. See my Family in NYC, get to see Bermuda and the Caribbean, then Cruise home :). Not a bad idea.

Hi Ed !

The May 11th announcement will more than likely be that Mercury will be sailing in Australia for a few months. While there may be more to it, it's probably just a matter of hearing the details.

As I have said before, I was very hopeful that we would see some new itineraries or at the very least a new port or 2 on the Caribbean itineraries. So far, it looks like the same old, but we havent seen the whole schedule yet.

The good news is that Constellation will contiue to do the 10 night Ultimate Caribbean itinerary in 2007/2008. That is one of the few itineraries that I am GLAD did not change. That is an awesome itinerary. The port order is changed around a bit, but all the ports are the same.

I had hoped that the 11 night itinerary would change or be broken into 2 smaller sailings (like a 7 night/4 night schedule), but that is not in the cards. I noticed they removed Puerto Limon, and added Cartagena in it's place, in the 11 night sailing, but I dont think that is a huge difference.

In the coming days, we will see what is in store for Century, Millennium, Galaxy, and perhaps Zenith. I have a strong feeling Century will be doing short cruises again. While I know some will be happy with that, I feel that Century should be doing 7 night itineraries.

That style of an 11 night cruise just doesn't work for us. It's two full weeks off. I can't get the time

Hi Rick !

I know what you mean. In the case of the regular 11 night itinerary, the Monday to the following Friday would not work for most people who have full time jobs. It is too many work days off.

I can not understand why Celebrity does not break the 11 night window, into 2 smaller sailings, like a 7/4, or a 8/3 night schedule. I had hoped for it in 2007/2008, but it's not the case.

I agree with you on the Century. With that refurb, they need to have her on the longer sailings. If they insist on a C class use the Galaxy until she's been done up.

Hi Rick !

I couldnt agree more. Galaxy would be perfect for the shorter cruises for 1 season. After the season is done, let her be refurbished like Century, and there is a good plan.

I would love to see it, but I am sure it is unlikely.

Day 9: Aruba 7:00am - 10:00pm

Day 10: Sea Day

Substituted Tortola for Casa de Campo in the D.R. Otherwise, same ports as visited time and time again.

Not creative at all, what's wrong with Guadaloupe, Martinique, others like that?

Looks like no X Caribbean Options for us for a while.

Hi Ed !

I know it's nothing radical, but at least they got rid of Casa De Campo, and this is good news.

I only hope that, assuming Millennium will be doing the same itineraries as this year, that Casa De Campo will be gone too.

I know we both hoped for a lot more. I have been saying for weeks, that I did not expect much difference, and it looks like it will be the case.
