Cruise Terminal Parking

We usually depart out of a Florida port and pay $10-12 a day for parking. We are considering a New York departure however it appears that the parking at the terminal is $24 a day :eek: . Is this true and does anyone know of any less expensive alternatives for parking. We are driving from Tennessee.

Hi, I dont know if this will help, but being from NY, I can tell you there is no cheap parking in NY> So I would think parking at the pier is no more then anywhere else in NY. But good luck. Perhaps go to NY website, and see, but I am sure its not cheaper.:(

In fact, $24/day is a bargain. I just paid $51 for parking in midtown for 7 hours.:mad:

There is an alternative. You can park at the ferry terminal in Weehauken/port Imperiale, take a ferry accross and then take a cab or walk to the cruise terminal which is a few blocks north of where the ferry lands and then take the ferry back when you come in(assuming you are talking about the manhattan pier.) The parking is $12.00(I think) per day and the Ferry is $5.00 each way. Also although the NY pier parking is $24.00 the maximum is $180.00 per month, so its cheaper for a longer cruise.

It's not cheap to park on the pier (hopefully you're going with someone who will share the cost) but you park upstairs and walk downstairs and get on the ship. It is even more convenient when you get off. Off the ship, in the car, on your way home.
