goodman12 Posted May 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2006 My girlfriend, my son, and I are going to be snorkeling at Sapphire Beach and wondered if we will need a vest or is the water shallow enough to just stand up? If we do need a vest do they rent them on the beach or do we need to bring them. Thanks for any info I can get. Steve
stuscott Posted May 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2006 They rent them there, and you would only need them if you are not strong swimmers, try not to stand up on the coral because that kills the coral.
chewap Posted May 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2006 I was there a couple of weeks ago. Lots of fish but do not stand on the coral-it will cut your feet and it is against the law. If you cannot swim, use a vest and snorkle mask I did not use fins and most people snorkling did not use fins-calm water and alot of different kind of fish.
