I've learned so much from you all; also a luggage tag question

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've been reading these boards off and on for some time now and thought it was time to thank all of you for the great information that you provide. Because of you, I'm able to astound my friends with my knowledge about cruising. :)

However I do have a question and am hoping that someone can answer it for me. My DH and I will be on the AOS leaving next Sunday (May 7). I originally booked a D1 but later upgraded to a JS when the prices came down (learned from all of you to keep checking!!!). When I upgraded, the RCI rep told me to get new luggage tags at the pier since our travel docs had already been mailed. Does anyone know where at the pier I need to go to get the new tags?

This is our second cruise with RCI (first was in 1998 on Rhapsody when she sailed to the Southern Caribbean). We have also sailed on other cruise lines but really want to come back to RCI (didn't enjoy our last cruise with Carnival).

Thanks in advance for your help.

We did the same thing on the Navigator. We just used a black Sharpee, crossed out the old number and added the new one on top. Also add "suite" to the top of each tag. We got our luggage in record time on that trip :D

Hope you have a wonderful time :)

Get the porter to supply replacement tags. I would not suggest just replacing the number unless your on the same deck and same area. The luggage tags sometimes are color coded as well as having a the general location of Forward/Aft on them as well.

Good point, we were always on the 10th Deck.
