jhinjhin Posted May 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2006 We are going on our first cruise in August and I have a ton of questions. My first is the location of our cabin. We are on the 3rd deck. It is right under the theater. Will this be a noise problem? What time are the shows usually over? Any input would be helpful.

A little more detail would help- but I would say that most likely you will not hear anything anyway, but it may depend on the age of the ship, thus the level of soundproofing... most shows are over before midnight... Mostly- try not to stress over every little detail- when you get on the ship and start your vacation- you will see how little most of it matters- really:D ! PelicanBill Posted May 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Shows should be over at 10pm... that's when people have to claim their kids from the kids club. Let us know if it was noisy or not... and what ship you were on. It's a common question.
jhinjhin Posted May 3, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Thanks for the info about the show times. That's what I thought that they would be over by the time we were headed to bed. We did cruise once years ago on a smaller ship and were right under a dance floor that kept us up all night. Thus my concern. We will be sailing on Splendour of the Sea. Only other problem I see is that we are near the elevators too. Has anone ever found that to be a problem? I guess there are always ear plugs!
