I booked a balcony cabin GUAR room for my cruise on 9/17. My question is for those people who have ever booked a guar. room what was your cabin? Did you get an upgrade? If you have booked a balcony room guar. what kind of upgrade could you possibly get??? Anyone ever gotten a suite? I am going on the Valor... anyone have any comments/suggestions?? Its for our honeymoon!! ;) TIA!!

We booked 3 balcony guarantee rooms for our upcoming Alaska cruise (6/14/06) and ended up getting all level 8H balcony rooms, mid-ship on the starboard side.:)

My first balcony guarantee was on the Triumph and we were upgraded to a suite so yes it can happen. My second was on the Liberty and we were also upgraded, this time to the Panaroma Deck. I can't complain so far.

Expect what you booked and you won't be let down... I have booked a guarantee on all 5 cruises so far, and never gotten more than an upgrade to a higher deck. I don't expect it either... There are ALOT of balcony cabins on the larger ships... so don't expect to get a suite, because the chances are very slim. Always book what you would be happy with... then you won't be disappointed!!! :D
