Disabled Diving Not cruising

Recommended Posts

First I will say I am sorry but neither I or the man I talked to in the Atlanta airport had pen and paper so I could not get the name of this island. But maybe somebody will be able to pin point it on the net.

Saturday I met and talked to a man in a wheelchair in the Atlanta airport. He is from upstate NY and is returning home from a three month stay on some island off Hong Kong. He goes there every winter to get away from the snow. He said the "resort" is owned by a man out of Denmark.

He pays $30 per day for diving. And he said the boats and people catter to people in wheelchair. He said he went diving almost every day. But he said the place is more like camping than a resort. No hot water and no flush toilets. But it only costs $7.50 per day to stay there.
