Wi-Fi on Legend?

Can someone tell me how wi-fi access works on Legend? If you surf from your own wireless device, is it the same price as if you use their PCs? Also, how do they bill you if you're using your own device? Do they just bill you for the entire time you're in the area, regardless of your actual connection time?

You can't use the network unless you register.

 

Technically it works something like this:

 

When you attempt to use the network, a browser page pops up asking you to register. Once you have registered, the network records the mac address of your wireless device and assigns it to your account. Every time your mac address accesses the net, it counts against your time.

No, sorry didn't mean that at all. As long as your mac address is connect you are connected.

 

Best way to use WiFi on board, is shut it off except when you actually need to access the internet (Send/Receive email, browse).

 

So for Email, connect to the network, get your mail, disconnect from the network, write responses to your email, reconnect then send.

 

There are several ways to disconnect (my laptop has a switch on the front the shuts wireless off).
