What's in Livorno?

Recommended Posts

We are taking an Oceania cruise in June 2007 and one of the stops is Livorno (Florence). We have been to Florence and Pisa. Is there anything at all to see in Livorno or the immediate area?

It's interesting that you asked that because I don't know of anyone that's ever stayed in Livorno, and we've been on 3 cruises that called in that port. You have lots of options other than Florence from Livorno. The Cinque Terre is an option, and my favorite is to go into Tuscany (we did San Gimignano and Siena with Papillon Service in 2004, and it was a magical day). Lucca is also nice. Good luck with whatever you decide.
