emdia43 Posted May 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2006 Is there an English Pub in Fort Lauderdale? We'll be at the Amerisuites for one night prior to cruise (on 7/28) and would like to find a place to fill up on pub grub/British goodies/watch some footie on telly.:) :)

signman Posted May 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2006 Here's a comprehensive list. Looks like there's an Irish Pub right on SE 17th. Don't know if that fits the bill or not. http://sunnybrits.com/british/pubs/pubs.htm
emdia43 Posted May 11, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted May 11, 2006 Thanks signman- I couldn't get that link to work. I googled and got a Frog and Toad on Powerline Road that sounds brilliant but can anyone from that area tell me if that is close to 17th St hotels? signman Posted May 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2006 Link will work now. Frog and Toad is the real deal. I've actually been there, it's opposite the Orioles Spring Training stadium, but it's about 20 minutes north of Amerisuites.

augie Posted May 12, 2006 #10 Share Posted May 12, 2006 In late July will there be any interesting footie to watch? Maybe early rounds of Champs League qualifying. I guess MLS is on, but you said "footie". :D Maybe you can watch replays of the USA lifting the Jules trophy!
