Tours in New foundland and St. Pierre

Does anyone have any info on tours in New Foundland and St. Pierre? Can you do these ports on your own? Any restaurant recommendations for lunch?

We are going to do St. Pierre and St. John's on our own, although I understand there is a city tour bus in St. John's. I am trying to find out if it is a Hop On/Hop Off type. I believe that the TI is right near where we dock. In St. Anthony, on the way back, I want to visit the Viking site and have reserved a car to do that. It is about 30 miles from the town. I believe we will take a ship tour to Gros Morne in Cornerbrooke. But I'm always open to other suggestions.
