Jungle River Tubing Experience in MoBay?

Has anyone done this lately? At over $70 per person through Carnival is it worth it? Has anyone booked this through another tour company, and if so how was it? Any feedback would be great. Thanks a lot.

I looked over at that forum and couldn't find very much. Everything was about Dunn's falls and white water rafting.

We are also looking at doing the tubing excursion in MoBay. I searched on the Jamaica thread and was unable to find any info about the excursion through the ship. Any info would be greatly appreciated, we want to book them before we go.

We went on the jungle tubing in Nov 05.

If you want something "dangerously" exciting, skip the tubes and do the river rafting excursion instead. We had 3 kids in our party, the youngest being 9-no problem, they take great care of the kids. They took our two 11 year olds seperately for an adventure they will never forget. All the tubes are tied off together and your guide is in a tiny kayak. He has his feet under the ropes on the front tubes and paddles backwards. "No Problem Mon". Wow does he have some upper body strength. Yes, you do get into some rapids and it is really fun. You actually get two excursions on this one! Remember, you have just gone 1 hour down the river-you have to get back to where you started! They take you back on some 4 wheel drive trucks over some pretty rough and awesome roads and backcountry. Wow! Be ready to be bounced all over the place! It's worth going back there just for that ride. For those that have been on the Indian Jones ride at Disneyland.....it rates right up there...

You have to wear sandles or water shoes during the tubing. They have them for purchase if need be. You store your items at the base camp area. There are people there to "watch them". A little leary about my camera, but had no problem. Since this was a Carnival Excursion, they want repeat clients. When you get back to camp they have drinks and Jerk chicken bbq (ran out when we where there) for purchase. Underwater camera necessary-but they have a photographer that takes pictures of everybody for purchase on DVD. They also include other beautiful pics of Jamaica. Bought one and copied for other party with us.

Does it sound like we had a great time? ABSOLUTELY WOULD DO OVER!!!

They tie the tubes all together side by side and front to back. You are like I giant raft. It is two tubes across.
