Departing May 22nd - Documents question

My sister, who is traveling with me, has a BC and a state issued Learner's Permit (with photo of course). Will these suffice as official boarding documents? (especially the Learner's Permit?)

You get the learners permit the same place you get the drivers license. If it has her picture on it I would say yes, however, please call Princess and see what they say just to make sure.

I recommend calling Princess IMMEDIATELY. You don't say where your cruise is going, and some of them now require a passport. There are ways of getting one expedited for a price. But quickly verify if it is needed.

DW, you didn't say which cruiseline, so don't know why they are saying call Princess.:confused:

 

However, all cruiselines have the same regulations as to what ID documents. Since her learner's permit has a photo and is state-issued, they'll treat it just as they would a D/L. As far as the BC, just make sure it is also a certified state-issued copy (not a hospital-issued certificate).

The advice that Joe gave is 100% correct as it's better to play it safe than sorry. Just contact Princess to verify if this documentation is correct. Again, since you didn't list where you are going it is difficult for us to comment anyway, but I always think it makes sense to double-check with the cruise line.
