Sherman Arch's Iguana Farm

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's rustic, don't expect a tourist trap. It's a natural environment with unbelievable iguanas, monkeys, and an ocean aquarium. Great for kids and adults alike. Cost is $5/pp. We spent a good 1-1/2 hours there. It was a blast.

I am deathly afraid of lizards and iguanas, but I got over it very quickly as they are so tame there. Luckily (for me), it had rained that morning and a lot of the iguanas were in the trees. Sherman told me if it were a normal morning, there would have been hundreds of them crawling around. EEK! There were about 35 when we were there, covering the walkway down to the ocean.

He'll definitely love it then. So many different types of iguanas and such beautiful colors. I read on their web site he has over 2700 iguanas there  I thought for sure I'd have nightmares later since I'm so squeamish about lizards and creep crawly things, but I actually thought it was pretty cool.

Have a great time!
