Santorini - Need Driver

Has anyone had any experience renting a car with a driver for the day. We want to go to the excavations at Ankrotiri and the ruins of Thira and also local wineries.

 

We'd prefer not to rent our own car because we all want to partake of the local wines. Because we want to see a lot on our only day in Santorini, we don't want to use the local buses (too much waiting time).

 

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to look back at the old boards. It seems like someone may have recommended a driver back in March or April. You may also want to google greek travel-there is a good website, but I can't recall the address.

We are using Markos with Markos private tours in Santorini. They have a website. He and wife Anna have been easy to deal with. They say the ruins at Akrotiri are open, contrary to some earlier reports on this board.Looking forward to a great visit.
