Serenade - Anyone Back?

I am cruising to Alaska on the Serenade in July and was wondering if anyone has done this cruise and returned? I am specifically interested in what nights were formal nights so I can book my Chops and Portofinos reservations (just DH and I on this one).

She just left San Francisco on Tuesday - heading north, so they wouldn't be back yet. I could be wrong, but I don't think she starts her first 7-day Alaska until this Sunday.

Yep-thats right....I'm on the first 2006 sailing on sunday. I'll let you know about the formal nights when I get back.

Please let me know if they have any "theme" nights, like Caribbean night when sailing in the Caribbean, Country and Western night? etc. I would like to pack accordingly, and we leave in 3 weeks ourselves. Thanks

I'd like to know as well we leave on the June 25 sailing. Also what movies were showing in the theater on the ship?

Starting in Aug her master will be Capt George. He does a great job on the Alaska runs.

We are on her in July also...I was wondering about the Captin and CruiseDirector...is the CD fun...? And ,Yes, aobut the theme nights...Chops is on the top of our list,but dont wanna miss formal nights! :D

Anyone else back from the Serenade 7 Night Alaska? We are interested if there were any "themed" nights, so we can be prepared and bring the right things to wear.

Hey! I just got off the San Diego to Vancouver on Serenade. The first Alaska was right after us.

I've done Alaska on Serenade before as well.

Here's what theme nights were in Alaska:

Depart from Vancouver: Casual

Day 2 - At Sea Formal

Day 3 - At Sea/Hubbard Glacier Smart Casual/Country

Day 4 - Skagway Casual Attire

Day 5 - Juneau Formal/50 and 60's Attire

Day 6 - Ketchikan Casual

Day 7 - At Sea/Inside Passage Casual
