Tropicalshowers Posted May 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2006 Hi everyone, Just curious. Do P&O charge you for the difference in fare if you are given an upgrade, requested or not? We have requested an upgrade to an outside cabin as there were none available on our deck when our TA booked it. We were allocated a cabin by P&O...we didn't 'choose' from the inside cabins that remained free, & yet our Cruise Personaliser says Cabin Requested:......, with no mention that we'd like an upgrade if possible. Are cabin upgrade requests ever put on the personaliser? If an upgrade does happen, and you have to pay, when are you charged the extra? Sorry if this question is confusing:o Cheers
Tikibird Posted May 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2006 No, the upgrades are done for P&O convenience-they probably overbooked the lower categories so you do not have to pay for it.
hollyanna Posted June 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2006 Yes, I have just got a free upgrade from inside with bath to outside with bath and due to fact that Oriana have been plugging the insides last minute with agents for cheap deals and I bet they have overbooked them. Good luck!!Hollyanna:D
