sailorsixx Posted May 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2006 Just wondering if NCL supplies life jackets for 14mo. old or if we should bring one along? Have found many great suggestions on this board regarding toddlers.
I&MsMom Posted May 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2006 I've not sailed NCL, but I imagine it's the same across the board: if he/she doesn't volunteer to do it, ask your steward to bring a little child's lifevest. You will keep it in your cabin for the duration of the cruise. If you are planning water-related activities, or if you will be using boats as a mode of transportation, you might want to consider bringing your own. The ship's life vest must stay on the ship. We brought a life vest for DD, and I felt much more comfortable with her in it, whether we were at the beach or on a speed boat. Enjoy your cruise! I figured as much & we did get one for my grandson.
ratherBcruizin' Posted May 31, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2006 Hey there. The above poster is correct. I cruised the Spirit with my 13 month old. We had to ask the steward to bring it. We also had one with us. Have a great time.
Nebr.cruiser Posted May 31, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2006 They will have a life jacket for him, but also bring your own for shore excursions--you can proably find one that is much more comfortable than the ship issue jacket.
I&MsMom Posted May 31, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2006 Not to mention, without the (nasty but irrestible at that age) whistle! :p

katyjeka Posted September 18, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2006 Hi. We sailed the Dawn and needed two children's life vests. They actually had them in the room when we boarded. After our Dawn cruise last December, we passed on Disney World this year, and signed up for the Dec. sailing of the Spirit. When is your cruise? If your going before Dec., post a review when you get back. It's hard to find much on the Spirit with kids. Thanks and have a great time.
