Just got off of Elation yesterday...the name of the Cruise Director is Risa (do not remember her last name, sorry), and she is from South Carolina.

 

She has been in the job for one month...I believe she said she came from the Fascination.

 

She made it a point to tell us that she started at Carnival 8 years ago as a bar waitress, and that through hard work you can progess through the ranks as far as you want to go.

 

Anyway, she is a pleasant person, and does her job well as emcee of the shows. She was not as funny as the CD on Celebration (the only point of comparison I have), but then I guess we were not all born to be comedians.

Hey Mike, Stacey here.. I know you are as tired as I am, especially starting the trip out as a newlywed! We enjoyed your singing in the Kareoke bar and at the talent show. Good job! I also thought Risa was just OK. we loved Treavor who was the CD on the Celebration last year. Risa said she came from the Holiday. She has sort of a dry personality and at times was funny but I also liked Treavor better. Have fun on the Elation!! It was great!
