2chickscrusin Posted June 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2006 We are #2 in our cabin class for Statendam sailing 10/27/06 from Aukland? Any insights on when we might know if we've cleared the Wait List and can start looking for air fare? Thanks!
RedmondCruiser Posted June 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2006 Had a Q&A session with Kirk Lanterman a few years back and he stated that the bookings have a 110 % turn over by the time they sail. If you are number 2 and with 6 months to go you should be fine. Just for insurance you might include a second cabin catagory. Good luck.
grannynurse Posted June 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2006 When time for final payment and time for agencies to return unsold cabins gets closer, probably mid to late June for this sailing, I'm sure you'll see things open up. Good luck. GN

Good luck.GN As long as airfare is booked no later than a month out, you can still get good deals. That's why ... especially if the airfare is "pricey," I usually wait until about a month out before booking my air. I figure that's the safest policy. You never know ... there are a lot of reasons why a cruise might have to be cancelled ... not just by the cruise line, but by the passenger as well ... and I'd hate to get stuck with expensive non-refundable airline tickets.
