Is there anything on Half Moon Cay???

Besides water or hiking? All the excursions relate to this. Is there nothing really there? Should we just go to the beach and snorkel?

It's a private island, so yeah, not really much there. If you're not into the water-type excursions, I'd just make it a beach day. The beach is beautiful. There's also parasailing which looked fun.

when we were there a few years ago they had a snorkel excursion that took you around the back side of the island to a gorgeous reef for some wonderful snorkeling.. it was well worth doing.. the have a nice barbeque set up on the beach and lots of chaise lounges and also the cabanas which you can rent for the day..

Half Moon Cay is Holland Americas private island. Since HAL has no ships in the Caribbean this summer carnival is going to be using it. It is not open to the public.

The BBQ lunch is included in your cruise rate.....NO EXTRA CHARGE!

 

Does anyone know whether there is any kind of shopping on the island? Castaway Cay had a gift shop, Coco Cay and Great Stirrup Cay had straw market-type vendors.
