ezel Posted June 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2006 This might have been covered before but my wife and I are looking for transportation from Southampton with a stop at Stonehenge to London (near Victoria Station). Any ideas? thanks.
mariakitty Posted June 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2006 There are a few other threads on transport from Southampton to London, but I will share my limited knowledge. :) National Express offers motorcoach service from Southampton to Victoria in London, and I believe there are stops near Stonehenge, but not 100% positive. You can do a search at http://www.nationalexpress.com. You can also hire a private car, most notably through Woodford's (I think the link is http://www.woodfords.com) and they will take you anywhere you want to go. It's door to door service and came highly recommended to us from other cruise critic members. The train is available as well, I just don't have any info. Have a great trip! :)
Globaliser Posted June 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2006 This might have been covered before ...You are quite right: this is probably the topic most discussed in this forum (and the British Isles forum too). If you do a search, you will find years of accumulated wisdom about it.
