minke Posted June 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2004 All info greatfully accepted. Not a lot of info on web but a few cruise ships go there every year, so someone must have done DIY tours perhaps from dockside etc?
vivian02 Posted June 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2004 I did a three month stay in Reykjavik many years ago and really enjoyed swimming in the Olympic size public swimming pool. It was heated with hot spring water and had hot soaking pools with temperatures somewhere up to 106 degrees F. At that time it cost about 35 cents which included a dressing room and locker. Now it might cost you several bucks but will worth the experience. My stay was during February. I am sure the poo is still there. I have heard there is now a hot spring area outside of Kefivik called the "Blue Lagoon". Its probably more exspensive but than the public pool in Reykjavik but then this should give you some information to go by. Don't forget there is a good looking woman behind every tree. Just find the trees. Tim Norwegian Sky 5/03 Norwegian Star 11/03 Royal Caribbean Splendor of the Seas 5/
