Elation - table for 2

Is it possible to get a table for 2 on the Elation during dinner?

I know that part of the experience with a cruse is meeting new people BUT this is a special trip for us and wish to have some quality time together at dinner with some nice red wide.;)

Thanks

There are NO tables for two on any Fantasy Class ship! (Fantasy, Ecstasy, Sensation, Fascination, Imagination, Inspiration, Elation, Paradise) :(

(just for the sake of any newbies reading this, because I hear people getting confused on this all the time).

But (like NRWO said in the other post) there are tables for four, that if you get to the Maitre'D in the dining room ASAP (as soon as you board or soon after), before they are all gone...

Then you have a good chance of getting the two of you alone at a 4 top.:)

Make sense?

I've been on 3 Fantasy Class ships & DID NOT get table for 2 on Elation. I didn't cruise Carnival for quite a few years because of it. Was on Paradise May 1 & got table(4-top) for 2 because I requested it early (could not do it via reservation- do not assume you can if TA tells you they did). Maitre'd told me that there were 4 other couples waiting for tables for2. If this is the case, I do not understand why Carnival does not save more 4-tops for people who want to be alone.

We were on the 6/5/06 Inspiration sailing and when we were at the last open seating breakfast we were seated at a round table for 10 - I noticed a little bit away (by the center buffet area) there was a set table for two against a gold post - it was a very small table. I did not look around to see if there were others but I did see that one and was surprised! There were tables for 10 and 6 really close by so it did not seem romantic - it looked like it was in the way! I would request a booth for privacy. There was one at the end of one of the booth rows that was for 5 people - one bench was shorter than the other - I bet they could put 2 at that table?

Good luck to you - remember there is always the outside decks at night - they were not very crowded on our cruise - and very quiet (front of the ship was very windy though - the back was much calmer).
