mad4cruising Posted June 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2004 Although I have sailed many times, I am considering my first Carnival cruise on the Victory out of New York. I really don not know much about the line, and even less about any particular ship. If you know the age of the Victory, the condition she's in, or have any other information you might be of value to me, I would appreciate reading it. Thanks to anyone who can help! HOSKI Posted June 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2004 I sailed the Victory in 200 when she was brand new and just got done sailing on her on 6/14. She is holding up very well. She is a beautiful ship and well taken care of. This was the first ship I have sailed on twice and it was nice to see that she was just as beautiful. I'm not saying she is blemish free, no ship that has sailed even once is but she is not old or tired by any means.

donsuej Posted June 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2004 We sailed on the Victory in May and I have to say out of 8 Carnival cruises this was my favorite ship so far. It doesn't have lots of neon like the Destiny but the colors are all complimentary and blend together making it very eye pleasing. The food was pretty good, the service was great, the entertainment was great as well. We just enjoyed everything about the ship. Sue
