help in deciding a cruise

We are planning a Med. cruise next August (2007) and are trying to decide between Emerald Princess and Legend of the Seas on NCL. We are two adults in our 30's and two kids 4 and 9 at cruise time.

 

While the Emerald will be brand new, the Legend has more exotic ports, including Alexandria, Egypt (see the Pyramids, Cyprus, and Greek Islands and Turkey). The Emerald is very port intensive covering the same Greek Islands plus a few more.

 

Therefore, new, better ship or older ship with better ports? Help us decide. By the way a mini or Jr. Sutie on the NCL is currently $3000 less than the Princess one. We could get a Grand Suite on the Legend for $1500.00 than the mini-suite on the Emerald. That is another factor.

I would take the Legend (it's RCL - not NCL) since it is several thousand less than Princess and has the itinerary you prefer.
