OVERBOOKING on a Cruise ??

Just seen a past article on cruising, it was about 2 years old but talked about Carnival cruises and how a large group of people got bumped because of overbooking.

 

My wife and I booked a Deluxe Stateroom Guarantee which entitles us to a Junior Suite or better.

 

My question is does RCCL overbook and are there any chances of being bumped?? I thought that they do not overbook which is why they do not refund money if you do not cancel within the alloted time frame. Thanks for any info

I've only heard of it happening once - when there was a major computer glitch. It is not something that happens often, in fact it happens very rarely.
