trvlmil Posted June 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Can anyone tell me if there is a "noticable" difference between the two categorys. I have sailed in a D2 on the AOS - I know the square footage of the E1 is a little smaller - but is it really a big difference? Anyone have experience with both categories? I'm currently booked in a D2 on the Explorer but Im considering changing to an E1 so that my kids could have a promenade view cabin (ages 19/23 but want them close to me) - currently they are booked in an inside cabin across from my D2 - decisions decisions decisions!!!!!!! If anyone has any input I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
DcJohn Posted June 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Category E are 173 square feet and Category D are 188 square feet.
DPurcell58 Posted June 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2006 I believe also the difference is a sofa, compared to a loveseat in the E-1.
cruisin from florida Posted June 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Between those two categories, I'd go with location, location, location.... Four favored "aft balconies" are E cabins - 9390, 9392, 9690, 9692. Also on deck 8 the cabins in the center of the hump are E Balconies. We chose those over D cabins that were available. Host Kewlguy Posted June 12, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Yes, stateroom selection takes a lot of research. That research can be done on this web site using the helpful search engine. I just type in the cabin number and see what others have to say about it.
