Fourth of July on Paradise

Were on the Paradise out of Long Beach on 7-3.Are there any events for holiday.We leave Catalina on 7-4.Will ship be close enough to shore to watch any fireworks shows?

Paradise leaves Avalon looooong before sunset, let alone dusk. By the time it's dark enough for fireworks, they'll be so far out, they'll be able to open the casino (which is their plan).

We were on the Paradise a few years ago on July 4th and nothing was done at all to observe the holiday!

We were on the RCCL Monarch a couple of years ago and pulled just outside of Avalon harbor. Because we weren't in international waters, they had to shut down the casino and shops for a few hours. Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing Carnival there.
