Majesty of the Seas - 4 nighter

Recommended Posts

gumballz...thanks for the help. In some ways I find it strange to have formal night on an evening that the ship is in port until midnight (or is that just me?).

Great photos! Looks like you had terrific weather too.

Any opinions on the deck 10 junior suites?

Well, a lot of people don't like Nassau so that might be why they do it that night. Plus, because you're in Nassau so long you have more time to do what you want and get back to the ship to get dressed up.

That's also the night of the sailaway party (so fun!) and the chocolate buffet.

Wednesday night (Coco Cay night) was Italian night. The wait staff all sang and dance and pulled practical jokes. A very lively evening!

I really don't know anything about the junior suites on deck 10, sorry.

Thank you. I took nearly 900 photos on a 4 day cruise. My DH just laughs because I always say you need to take a roll of film to get one good photo. Of course, now that digital is so easily accessible.....you need to take a thousand photos to get one good one! ;) lol

We were so lucky with our weather on this cruise. It seemed like everything was perfect from start to finish.

we just got back from the majesty 4 day sailing leaving June 5. we had a JS on deck 10 (cabin #1582). it was great. love the balcony. it only had two chairs and a small table, but I was able to get two recliner chairs w/ my room atendant for a few bucks. there is a curtain that can separate the bed and the living room area. the bathroom has a bathtub. its still small, but better than the little bathrooms in the other cabins. (we also did the majesty 3 day sailing last year and stayed in a oceanview cabin). either way, it a great ship. we had a lot of fun. let me know if you have any question. will be glad to tell you all about it

Helen,

Thanks for the info. We actually have cabin 1578 booked...just a couple of doors from yours. Did you get a lot of noise from the pool deck above? Putting Grandma and two kids in 1578...my wife and I will take a deck 8 oceanview!

Formal night indeed is the night you are in Nassau. Not to worry, there is nothing open after 5pm except the few bars/restaurants & the casino at Atlantis. Almost 95% of the passengers were on the ship in time for formal dinner.

July 3 we will set sail!!

So the Midnight Buffet is also Nassau (formal night)????? I was thinking it was Coco cay night????

So to top it all off we have 4th of July-formal night and the chocolate buffet! That will be a busy busy day and night.

Lucky we eat at the first dining and I hope to be hungry by midnight!

We are really excited about Key West..Are you able to get clearance and off the ship by 10:30 atleast???

Any tips for this ship???? Quiet place on Coco Cay??? We have sailed Enchantment and then both Disney Ships...

Thanks,

Michelle

babyjosie98, the midnight buffet is definitely on Tuesday (Nassau night). As you sail away from Nassau at midnight they have the buffet up on the pool deck with music, dancing, ice sculpture making, colorful lights, etc. It's very festive and fun! The deck is crowded but you don't really mind because everyone is in a party mood. :)

On Key West day you have to go through customs and they do that by deck. I believe we were off by around 10:30- 11:00 but I don't remember for sure. We were one of the last groups called. It went very quickly. We just got in line and they had two officials looking at our passports. They punch your card and you're free to go. I've read a lot of horror stories about delays but it went so quickly on our cruise that I wondered what we did wrong. lol

Coco Cay....Ahhhh. I love that place! There's a lot of quiet places! All you have to do is walk past the large group of lounges and things start quieting down. There's hammocks spread out but towards the end of the day they were all full of sleeping cruisers or, in some cases, they were holding people's personal belongings and if you got anywhere near them the rabid owners barked orders for you to back off because it was THEIRS! lol We wanted to get a photo of us on the hammocks so we had to beg a lady to allow us to just take photos and then we'd leave her alone. She said alright but stood not 3 feet away the entire time to make sure we'd leave. It was funny actually. She wasn't even using it. But whatever makes people happy! ;)

You're going to love this ship and itinerary! Have a blast and bring back photos!

(If you haven't looked yet, you can take a peek at the daily compass for each day and see some photos. The links are in my signature.)

My Coworker (who is also going on the cruise) and I did look at your photos at lunch and they are excellent. The pictures of Coco Cay are so beautiful!

I hope we have a day that perfect....

People are so crazy sometimes..I don't get it?? Just like saving chairs at the pools. People throw there stuff down and never come back somtimes???

Too funny...Well I guess we will stake out a hammock early and guard it with our life....LOL

Glad to hear that the Key west check point went fast. We are on Deck 8?? Do they start at the top??

We picked this itinerary because the Majesty stays in port till 6:00 pm in Key West. Most the other ships leave at 2:00.

Can't wait for the sail away at midnight! We can do it! All we have to do the next day is chill out on the beach!

Thanks again and loved the pix!

I did hear some kids running a few times at night, but nothing to complaint about. Grandma and kids will be fine.

That was going to be my question, is anything still open at the time of first seating. Thanks.
