Does anyone know of private guides in any of the following cities? Rotterdam, Vigo, Lisbon, Cadiz, Malaga, Cagliari, Palermo, Valletta

J - Lisbon is a city you could easily do on your own. There is a hop on hop off bus and trolly car. You could walk the city center and take a cab to specific sites. It is a very pretty city. Enjoy.

We will be booking with portsidetours.com for Vigo to Santiago. They also have many other ports they work with.
Can't give you any first hand feedback, only that we will be using them for this port.

Just looked at their website as have never heard them mentioned on these boards before. Their prices are really high.. you can get great drivers in those ports for far less $$

We were in Vigo last year and we and another couple from the ship took a taxi and went to Santiago. It was a great trip, about 90kms on a freeway and took about 45 minutes. The taxis were found where we disembarked.

We arranged for him to leave us in Santiago and return a few hours later. Santiago is a lovely city with the big Basilica where all the pilgrims gather after their long walk across Europe.

It is also a University town and it is easy to walk around. We spent a few hours there and then met the taxi driver outside the Basilica and he returned us to Vigo, on the way stopping at a Park and showing us a beautiful view. We could have gone to the beaches around Vigo with him for more money but we decided we had seen enough.

We paid him when we returned to the ship and with tips it cost each couple around 70Euros. I hope this helps you decide what to do.
