CabinForFour Posted June 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2006 I'm working on my scrapbooks for our May cruise, and I'm having trouble remembering what's what for our Skagway Rail and Bus tour. If you recognize the following, please give me their names... 1. http://laddcruise.shutterfly.com/action/slideshow?a=67b0de21b338c75b654c&auto=0&idx=83&m=1&d=1150809799471 , another view http://laddcruise.shutterfly.com/action/slideshow?a=67b0de21b338c75b654c&auto=0&idx=85&m=1&d=1150810594342 2. Does anyone know the name of the island in #1? 3. Is #1 the same lake seen behind the Welcome to the Yukon sign? 4. We stopped at this lake heading back down toward Skagway. There was a "Klondike Gold Rush" sign there but no name. Here are a couple of different views... http://laddcruise.shutterfly.com/action/slideshow?a=67b0de21b338c75b654c&auto=0&idx=147&m=1&d=1150810361528 , http://laddcruise.shutterfly.com/action/slideshow?a=67b0de21b338c75b654c&auto=0&idx=149&m=1&d=1150810650989 , and http://laddcruise.shutterfly.com/action/slideshow?a=67b0de21b338c75b654c&auto=0&idx=152&m=1&d=1150810686226 Thanks for any information you can offer! OutdoorsPro Posted June 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2006 That would be Lake Tagish and Bove Island. Google "Tagish" and Klondike to get some info on the person the lake is named after.
CabinForFour Posted June 20, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted June 20, 2006 Thanks so much! Any ideas about #4, anyone?
Yukon Posted June 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2006 You have 2 lakes in question 4. The first picture is Lake Bennett from downtown Carcross, the other 2 are Tutshi Lake. The lake behind the Welcome to the Yukon sign is Windy Arm of Tagish Lake. Murray
CabinForFour Posted June 21, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted June 21, 2006 Thanks, Yukon! I hadn't noticed that those were two different sites until you mentioned it! As a side note, your site was invaluable in planning our trip. Our tour through Skagway/Yukon was one of the highlights of our trip! Thanks so much!
