Thank you BB for being proactive and sending the letter to Seabourn about Marina Day. I am one of the ones who is really looking forward to it! I guess we will get out the toys for Caviar in the Surf. By the way, did you end up only having 1 formal night?

One Formal night only. I wanted Marina Day to play with the toys. But I did not want to deal with wet things packing the night after Caviar in the Surf day, so for me I planned a DRY Beach BBQ.

To All, Have a safe and pleasant trip and we'll see you there. Jane, Hopefully you're enjoying Pirates of the Carribean. I'm still packing. A trip to King of Prussia mall today for last minute stuff. :)

Thanks for all the good advice, looking forward to meeting those of you who will be on our Dec 2 cruise. Sorry we will miss meeting CCr's sailing on a different day, or in BB's case, who have already sailed. Fish Fry friday night ! Can't wait ! :D Then the Sky Bar, port side, for a yet to be determined adult beverage.;)

Bon Voyage Pride sailors! In addition to Jan and David E, ACD extrordinaire, Marla Sanders, who hails from Huntsville, Alabama will be joining the Pride on Dec. 2. Aside from being a superlative entertainer, she is very sweet and most definitely a people person. I have sailed with her for 25 days in 2004 when I did the B2B crossing and Panama Canal cruises.

She loves her job, especially interfacing with the passengers. She is also a night owl so do not be surprised if she comes up to your group in The Club and says "Hey y'all" and I loved watching her "work the room" (I mean this in the most positive way!). What impressed me the most about Marla is by the third day of the cruise, she will know the first and last names of every passenger on the ship!

If anyone remembers, please tell Marla "Tall Paul" Legendary crosser, Trivia and deck walking afficionado sends his Best Regards! Smooth and happy Caribbean sailings to all you lucky Pride-ites! :)

Many thanks to all well-wishers! Leaving at 6 am tomorrow  At work now, trying to finish up everything, and hoping not to forget too much!

Peasea8ch: Will look for Marla (unless she finds me first) and give her your kind regards. Always good to have another Southerner roaming the Pride! ;)

I hope to post a little, while on board; will probably use this thread, and looking forward to meeting the CCers I haven't yet! ;)

Paul (the other one)

to the SkyBar! the SkyBar!

Those are my old stomping grounds Linda. Now I have to drive to Charlotte or Raleigh to find a real store like Nordstrom's:p

Safe travel to all 12/2 cruisers ... and we will see some of you on 12/9:cool:

If you run into Nadia Meersman Toker, the Cruise Sales Specialist, on the Pride, just say "Hi Zip Line..." She did the 9 platform zip line tour on my cruise and can answer any questions if anybody is thinking of that tour.

Well Blackbird just finished his stage one packing and speedsheet update for his March cruise, now I can sit back and popcorn.gif while reading about all you wonderful people's adventures. :)

What is being added or deleted from your packing spreadsheet? I've been editing my packing list from my last cruise in preparation of my first Seabourn in March and also compiling one for Neil since I'll probably be doing his packing for him (or else no suit will be packed and we'll be forced to dine ensuite on the formal night).

Very minor, I found I needed the connector with two RCA jacks to connect my iPod to the Bose, so the other connector with one jack I do not need to bring. I am adding one shirt because on my cruise there was only one Formal night. The only other addons is one pair of pants/shirt for my overnight in St. Thomas.

And I will not know until my first set of docs come if I need a pair of "water shoes", I will never again be forced to take off my sneakers to get on a boat and walk over painful surfaces.

LOL and more cash money  I ended up tipping more on tours than I expected.

I forgot to post something about the St. Vincent Three Ways tour. Sorry but I forgot the name of the Seabourn shore excursion manager, but she was missed lead by the local tour operators on St. Vincent. When we got out to the tour bus area the Seabourn manager was there and told us we would be doing the boat part first. So for around 15 minutes we waited for the boat to arrive. All this time there was a good size motor boat at the dock with the words "Whale Watching" on it's side. The Seabourn Manager and the local manage keep talking and the "boat" never arrived. So after 15 minute she told us we would be doing the bus part first so off we went. At one point during the tour, the tour guide said "we will be coming back to the dock in this town to get the boat after lunch". After lunch the tour guide said that we would be getting the boat at a beach. At the rocky beach ppl without water shoes had to take off there shoes/sneakers to wade out to the boat. Lucky for BB somebody with water shoes took his camera out because BB may have slipped and got all wet.

After the tour I talked to the Seabourn Manager and told her about the rocky beach and getting on the boat and that the "Whale Watching" boat dock at the port was the same boat that meet us. She was not happy.

Sailor's,

You might want to note that while in Port's, the boutique remains closed, so if you need to pick up an item, "shop" after you leave the port. I think she opens around 6 p.m. and closes about 8 p.m.

On sea days, the boutique is open.:p

Bon Voyage to the Dec. 2nd & Dec. 9th Pride Sailor's! Have a wonderful, festive sailing~~~~

Pleeeze leave me a few snails!

An you can order things from your room stewardess or LOL cut out the middle man an go to the Purser Desk for some things. The day of the beach BBQ I found out I had dead AA batteries. I checked on the list of things you could buy thru your room stewardess and did not see them. I went to the Purser's Desk and ask if the room stewardess had AA batteries and he smiled and pulled out two boxes of things and in his box was a pack of AA batteries. He wrote up a sale slip and off I went being a happy camper. :)

Oh and there was no snails on my week's menus. But I did sit with a first time Seabourn cruiser couple the first night and told them of a lady that had a Standing Order of snails every night. :) They asked the waiter if they could special order some and he sent over the special order person and took their order.

Blackie,

And the Housekeeper has many items stored in her "do-ma-jiggy" closet~~~her Office is located at the rear of the Dining room. Hospital to the left, Housekeeper (AND wine celler) to the right!

Also, as you mentioned, the sweet Purser's have miscellanous items in their Office.

OHHH nooo,Blackbird, what if those newbies ate all my escargot???? First thing, I'll check with Lulu as to my 1st courses.

Believe I'll start adding SNAILS to my pre-cruise doc's......along with the 2 soft blue bathmats and the 2 brown wicker laundry baskets!

Blackbird sees the Chef walking the gangplank if Pinkie does not have snails  The newbies only have one order... But the lady was from Thailand and I think ordered a Thai desert with raw eggs.

Marita...do you know who at the helm on the Legend now?

I though I read that Captain Andersen was back - we'd love to see him again. I think he's been gone from Seabourn for about as long has we've been. A reunion would be nice.

Well, we're off to the airport in a few hours for our week's stay in Barbados before the cruise! I'm soo very excited! We will be staying at the Coral Mist in Christ Church for a week prior to the cruise so that will give us a chance to wind down and get adjusted to the time change.

I don't think we will be posting while there, however, I will make sure to post a full review and pictures when we get back. We're looking forward to meeting all of our fellow cruise critic friends there!
