Alaska Excursions?

I have a friend who has recently booked an Alaska cruise (8/11) on Celebrity, her third C cruise. She is not computer/internet savvy and I wonder if she'll be able to book excursions on the ship or via pre-cruise documents or will everything be booked?? Having been to AK myself, I know excursions MAKE the cruise, but have not sailed Celebrity.

 

Any experience with booking onboard/ or pre-cruise?

She can wait until she boards to pick excursions but if it is a popular one she may want to reserve online on the Celebrity site. I know that I always book ahead of time.

Not to worry, Celebrity does not book all the tours on line. they keep some ready for the people who don't have a computer and can only book on the ship. Just tell your freind to do it ASAP because some of the tours do sell out fast. I definitely speak from experience. ;)

I recommend doing them on your own. We were on a budget, yet we did more and saw more than anyone else on the ship.
