Christine:) Ship board credits are used as incentives to get you to book a cruise. If one was not offered when you booked it is not likely you will get one now. They are also used when HAL feels that they have inconvienced you some how and they want to make amends! As you have already booked, dont expect to recieve a credit. Bramcruiser Posted June 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2006 Credits are, like Bruce said, only offered as an incentive to book - usually as a sales promotion - or to right a wrong as in the case where you may be bumped from a cruise and have to rebook on some other ship or sailing with the same line. They are great to receive but are normally small so no big deal in most cases. I wouldn't book simply for the credit myself. They do get mentioned far too often on these boards so I can see where one might get an impression credits are like lottery winnings. Still, enjoy your 2007 cruise. What ship and where are you going?
