Boarding Time for AOS

Recommended Posts

As we could not get flights to San Juan the day before the cruise, we have to fly in on a Sunday. The flight is scheduled to arrive in SJ at app. 1 p.m. Three questions:

1. Since the ship leaves SJ at 10 p.m., how late can you board the ship to get your seapass, etc.?

2. Once you get on the ship, can you leave it to see San Juan?

3. What time are the stores open in SJ on a Sunday?

From the bottom:

Stores close on Sundays at 5:00pm, Once you got onboard you can walk out and do anything you want, only problem is, if you want to go to OSJ, then you will need a Cab, The Panamerican Pier (Where the AOS docks) is at the other side of the bay, You can board the ship up to One hour before it leaves.

Hope this answer your questions.

Puertorican, Thanks so much for the info. Another question. If we are scheduled to arrive at the SJ Airport at approximately 1 p.m., by what time can we expect to have our luggage and arrive by cab at the ship? And two other questions. Can you walk from the Pan American pier to Fort Morro (sp?), or do you need to take a cab? At what time does the fort close on Sundays?

You can not walk anywhere from the pier. You really must take a cab.

Here is a great map of the San Juan area. If you are sailing RCCL, you are probably going out of the Pan American Pier. That is across the water from the Old San Juan Piers.
