TXSailor Posted June 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Hi: We have never cruised on Carnival and we would like some feedback. Is Elation a fun ship to be on? What is the food and service like in the dining room? What do the daily activities consist of? Is there a poolside band providing entertainment during the day? Tropical drink specials? Are the evening broadway shows pretty good? Do the room attendants provide good service? We are thinking of cruising on Carnival in August or Sept. 2004. Anyone's input would be appreciated. aggieastrosfan Posted June 30, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Okay, I had a great reply posted, but I accidentally hit the back button, and lost it all...:( The ship is GREAT! The only bad side was the pool band. They hurt my ears, they were so bad! I love this ship! Our cabin steward was so efficient, he was folding our dirty laundry until we started hiding it from him. We didn't want him to think he had to do THAT for us! The wait staff was the best we've ever had, as was the food. Pizza and french fries for lunch every day for me, yummy! Once I learned how their steaks were cooked (I'm a steak girl - normally take them medium well, but found medium on the ship worked great for me), I greatly enjoyed dinner as well. The Fun Ship drink special on sail-away day is dangerously delicious, too! Casino staff rocks also. Craps folks and I were old pals by the end of the week ;) . I recently scanned in my Capers from my 5/2 - 5/9 trip, e-mail me at meredithmoore(at)houston(dot)rr(dot)com if you'd like to see them. I've got the excursion prices as well. I've also got pictures at the link in my signature. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. As I'm trying to convince DH to try the Rhapsody next May, I may have to call on you as well, it seems. :D
