2 days Pre-cruise: Orlando or Cape Can.

Family of 4 flying into Orlando 2 days before cruise, should we stay in Orlando or is there something to do in Cape Canaveral. We did Disney & Universal 2 years ago (boys 5 & 14), but can do another day if there is nothing going on at the Cape. Suggestions please. :) FANTASY August 19, 2006 :)

You can do the Kennedy Space Center...which the kids would absolutely love and you can always drive to orlando which is only one hour away....

I agree on Kennedy Space Center... really isn't something to take the youngsters as well as yourselves to. I'd suggest staying in Cocoa Beach (the Days Inn is right on the pier) and there are multiple options for you.

Depends on what you want to do. For "attractiony" stuff, stay in Orlando. For "beachy" stuff, Cocoa Beach would be the best bet.

Just back from Fantasy. Also stayed 2 days prior. Stayed in Orlando. Vegged out at pool 1st day and did SeaWorld day 2. Day 3 drove to Port canaveral dropped off rental and went to ship.

DH and I stayed at the Raddisson. It's a beautiful property! They have a free hot breakfast and free shuttle to the ship. We plan to use it again in Jan. Kennedy Space Center would be great fun for the whole family.

Stay in Orlando and check out Sea World and Wet and Wild.

I highly reccomend staying in Cocoa Beach. We spent 9 days here before our Disney Cruise. It is just 5 minutes away from the dock. If you ask for a handicap room at the Days Inn they have a full kitchen and a back patio. It is 1 block from the beach and pier. very nice. There is a mall close by and Ron Jons Surf shop is close also. lots of things to do. HTH
