cabin information

Recommended Posts

We just signed up the Christmas cruise on Granduer of the Seas and were assigned cabins on Deck 8 (right below the pool). Can anyone give their opinion on this location. We,ve never been this high up before. Is there a better chance for seasickness?

If the ship is rocking, you're going to feel it no matter where you are! A couple decks won't make THAT much difference! I do find a difference between the front or back of the ship and the middle (near the hump area). More midships is more stable! As far as being under the pool area, there's very little noise, so don't worry about that!

Last December we were in cabin 8029 for the first half of a back-to-back. The only time we heard anything was the night of the midnight buffet up on deck. Honestly, it was not a big deal. I can't even remember if it was drums or bass, but it wasn't too loud. I would suggest sleeping with the tv on the channel live from the bridge, if you're in an inside stateroom. We lost all track of time. :)

Don't worry! We were in our room so rarely it was great for our family of 4!

We,re prone to getting sick. Should we try to relocate? Will we probably experince rocking in December?
How is it you were "assigned" cabins? If you booked a guaranty category you might not have much luck changing. (And shouldn't book one if location is important to you.)
