need help on port

Recommended Posts

we are now thinking about booking our excursions. as this is our first cruise and we only want to see some part of each port. We are going to book ship excursions. We will do Rome, Herculaneum, monaco

I need advice on the Marseilles port. What is the nicest place to visit?

You could go to Aix-in-Provence:Avignon:Les Baux, but get away from the port no matter, and see some of the French countryside...beautiful.Enjoy your cruise.

As usual we agree with cberge's comments, but would add Arles to his list. In fact, its pretty easy to visit both Arles and Aix on the same trip,,, whether by rental car, trains, or private tours. The only problem with this port stop is that its only for a day....in a region where a month would not even scratch the surface.
