Casino questions- Bahamas

We're going on the Sensation 9/7 out of Port Canaveral. One in our group is a gambler, and wants to know if the casino will be open on the ship when we are docked in Nassau? And...what about the casino's on the island...any good? What do I mean by any good? I have no idea...maybe another gambler will know what he wants to know about them!

Casinos on the ship are closed when in port. I'm not sure regarding casinos at Nassau. I will be going there for the first time this Dec.

We went to the Crystal Palace Casino, when we were in Nassau. We found the casino to be fine, however, it is a $20 cab ride from the pier. It is where most of the ships crew go to gamble, if they have the time off.

When you are in Nassau go to the Atlantis Resort they have a huge casino and you can see Atlantis when you dock. Linda

Atlantis is nice and its a $6 dollar cab ride. The only draw back is most of the tables are $10 min. There are some nice Casino's along cable beach.

Some of carnival ships stay in port 24 hours and the casino opens in the evening while in port. It the only time I have seen this happen.

atlantis is nice, didn't have much luck there tho.
