libra-sue Posted July 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2006 On my cruise last month on Arcadia the padded balcony seat cushions were removed due to the balcony fire a month or so ago on a cruise ship (not p&o)(i think it was caused by a candle being left on the balcony) and now P&O, in England UK, anyway, have removed the balcony seat cushions, which is a pain -literally. When you are paying £500PP EXTRA FOR A BALCONY, it would of been nice to sit in comfort.... I think they are sourcing new cushions which are fire retardant - the others weren't, but this will take time. Meanwhile, we sat on our pool towels! Are the aussie ships following this rule too and have they also removed their balcony cushions? uk P&O did this from early May06. Sue
aussiedisneyfan Posted July 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2006 Hi Libra-Sue. You may wait a while for an answer. As there are only 10 balcony suites on our ships, very few of us travel in them.
