NY Pier Pressure - Miracle

Now that the NY embarkation is in full swing, does it appear that it's easier to access the pier from the north (coming down the West Side Highway) or the south (like through the Lincoln Tunnel).

 

Coming from the east (cross town) is not an option.

We always take the west side highway. Its fine until you get to the pier. Can't avoid the traffic. Go early is best I guess.
