bailey57 Posted July 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2006 Where can I find out what days cruise ships are in port in Barbados?
Sunniebgi Posted July 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2006 you can google the Barbados Port Authority Website. Wednesday is the only day that there is always (usually) at least 1 ship in port through out the year. (thats the Carnival Destiny). During the summer, the Adventure of the Seas is now in every other Tuesday but thats it. During the winter season there usual is at least 1 ship in every day of the weeks starting in about late November early December. and then there are days when up to 5 or 6 ships can be in port. one note on the Website is that it might not be completely up to date. arlenez Posted July 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2006 Try this website http://www.cruisecal.com. It shows all the ports and ships that are in port for any particular day. Regards,
bailey57 Posted July 8, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted July 8, 2006 Good morning Sunniebgi - Thanks - We will be there for a week in mid-late September, and in planning activities, figure some excursions might be best done on days when ships are *not* in port. So it appears any but Tues or Weds will work. Oh - can you please tell me how much of the island can we see by just hopping buses? We were going to rent a car, but are trying to keep expenses down. We understand the limitations touring-wise of doing it this way, but we find public transport is a a good way to just have a look around and see how the locals live. We just ride around... :) We don't want to be overscheduled, and plan only to book a daysail (probably silver moon) and a safari-type trip (still debating with whom). Appreciate any help. Thanks again.
