Formal Night on Ecstasy

I would like to know what to wear on formal night on the Ecstasy ? long formal vs cocktail dress ? We are in the 35-40 age group and this is our first cruise. So we really need help on what to wear, we have only 1 formal night. Thanks for your help in advance.

The shorter cruises really do tend to be a lot less dressy than other cruises, but that's not to say you cannot dress to the nines if you want to!

 

You will see everything from Sunday best all the way to ballgown. I would say the majority will be in black pants or skirts with a dressy top, you will see bridesmaid dresses, prom style dresses, cocktail dresses.

 

I've even seen some women wear what they would wear to an office and some who just put on a T shirt with a few beads or sequins and call that formal :rolleyes: .

 

On the short cruises that I have taken, I tend to take it down a notch. I'll wear black travel knit pants or skirt with a dressy top. Something like this:
